為了與目前國(guó)際上流行的兩個(gè)不同系列的鋼管外徑相適應(yīng):公制系列(PN系列),英制系列(CLASS系列)
A系列為英制系列,公稱(chēng)尺寸用NPS 標(biāo)識(shí)，管子外徑按ASME B36. 10M 的定
B系列為公制系列,公稱(chēng)尺寸用DN 標(biāo)識(shí)，管子外徑按ISO4200 的規(guī)定

A系列就是俗稱(chēng)的大外徑系列，
B系列就是俗稱(chēng)的小外徑系列
但可以看出A系列的大外徑僅限于DN200以下，在DN300以上其直徑反而小于公制管。
很多情況下兩者差別是很大的：如DN100時(shí)差了6.3mm，大直徑時(shí)差別達(dá)20mm以上
